Kurt A. Gardner, Esq.
A life-long resident of Lancaster County, Mr. Gardner graduated cum laude from The Dickinson School of Law in 1987, Franklin and Marshall College in 1984 and Warwick High School in 1980. He has since concentrated in the areas of Family Law, Personal Injury, Civil and Criminal trial litigation, and Estate Planning/Administration.
Mr. Gardner has been actively involved in the community, including the Brickerville Volunteer Fire Company, the Lions Club, Teens Responding to Adult Care and Kindness, and the Ephrata High School Mock Trial Team. He has chaired numerous parent organizations at Warwick High School, and has been a church leader for many years. He served on the Board of Directors of the Ephrata Area Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Warwick Education Foundation Board of Directors.
Mr. Gardner has received awards for excellence in providing legal service to the underprivileged, and he frequently lectures on the practice of law to local groups and organizations. He is a certified member of the prestigious Million Dollar Advocates’ Forum for his handling of multi-million dollar wrongful death and personal injury cases. Mr. Gardner has been recognized by Martindale-Hubbell with the highest rating a lawyer can receive for legal ability and ethical standards.
Mr. Gardner resides in Brickerville with his wife, Heidi. They have two children, Lyndsay and Adam.
John C. Stevens, Esq.
Mr. Stevens graduated from The Dickinson School of Law in 1996 and Franklin and Marshall College in 1993. While in Law School, Mr. Stevens received The American Bankruptcy Law Journal Award and was actively involved in Dickinson’s Family Law Clinic. His primary areas of practice include Family Law, Business Law, Personal Injury, Estate Administration and Planning and various traffic and criminal defense matters.
Mr. Stevens served as a Director on the Ephrata Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and on the Chamber’s Special Events committee from 2007-2013. He rejoined the Board of the renamed Northern Lancaster County Chamber of Commerce where he serves on the Finance Committee. He also serves on the Board of Directors of the Cocalico Education Foundation and serves on the Finance and Endowment Fund Committees. Mr. Stevens also previously served on the Board of Mainspring of Ephrata. Along with Mr. Gardner, Mr. Stevens served as the coach to the Ephrata High School Mock Trial Team.
Additionally, Mr. Stevens has been involved with the Junior Achievement Program and lectures and writes on the practice of law to local groups and organizations.
Mr. Stevens resides with his wife, Connie and their two sons, Andrew and Matthew.
Connie J. Stevens, Esq.
Mrs. Stevens graduated from The Dickinson School of Law in 1996 and graduated magna cum laude from Georgian Court College in 1993. While in Law School, Mrs. Stevens was actively involved in Dickinson’s Family Law Clinic and received the CALI Excellence For The Future Award, Juvenile Law. Her primary area of practice is Estate Administration and Planning. She has been admitted to both the Pennsylvania and New Jersey State Bars.
Mrs. Stevens resides with her husband John, and their two sons, Andrew and Matthew.
Rachel A. Grove, Esq.
Ms. Grove is a life-long resident of Lancaster County. She graduated from Widener University in Chester, Pennsylvania and Widener University Commonwealth Law School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Her primary area of practice is Family Law with significant experience representing clients in high conflict matters. She previously was a staff attorney with Domestic Violence Services of Lancaster County. In that role, she represented victims of domestic violence in family law matters and litigated hundreds of Protection from Abuse matters. She serves as a Reader and Assisting Minister at Grace Lutheran Church in Lancaster and is a Volunteer Ambassador at the Fulton Theater.She lives in Mountville with her husband John. They have two children Max and Mia June.
Andrew S. Walls, Esq.
Born and raised in Lancaster County, Mr. Walls graduated from Widener University Commonwealth Law School in 2015. While at Widener, Mr. Walls obtained the Pro Bono Service Distinction Award and two CALI Excellence for the Future Awards for Contract Remedies and Alternative Dispute Resolution. Also an accomplished musician and Pennsylvania Certified Music Educator, Mr. Walls graduated magna cum laude from Duquesne University and holds advanced degrees in music performance from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
In his legal practice, Mr. Walls primarily focuses on Estate Planning and Administration for individuals as well as Small Business Advising for family businesses throughout the entirety of the company lifecycle, from entity selection and formation to preparation and negotiation of commercial contracts through succession planning including mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Walls has been serving the local community for his entire life. He served as a leader with the Boy Scouts of America after earning his Eagle Scout Award, as a United States Ambassador of Goodwill to Scotland through the Rotary Foundation, as a volunteer firefighter and EMT with the Lititz Fire Company, as a parent volunteer and officer for multiple youth and school organizations in the Warwick area, and as a volunteer with Wills for Heroes.
Mr. Walls resides in Lititz with his wife, Jen. They have three children, Emma, Lilly, and Carter.

Jill is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. She moved to Lancaster County in 2001 and joined the Gardner and Stevens team in 2017 as a Legal Secretary. She primarily assists Mrs. Stevens with Estates and Estate Planning. She is an active member of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Church in Ephrata and supports many activities around the Cocalico School District. Jill lives in Reamstown with her husband, Dennis, and their two sons, Joey and Luke.

Mandy was born and raised in Lancaster County and graduated from Warwick High School. With a 16-year background in customer service, Mandy joined the Gardner and Stevens team in November of 2022 as a receptionist/ legal secretary. She resides in Ephrata with her husband, Karl and their dog, Forrest.
Stacy L. Land-Moore
Stacy was born and raised in Lancaster County and graduated from Ephrata High School. With 29 years of paralegal experience in a wide variety of legal areas, Stacy joined our firm in March, 2024, with a focus in estate administration and estate planning. She is one of our notary publics. Stacy lives in Ephrata with her husband, Steven Moore.
